Wheel Arch Rolling Tool
ORDERCODE - FCWAT

Wheel arch rolling tools can be used to modify arches and lips to accomodate wider wheel and rim combo`s. Simple to use with instructions, ideal if you are not experienced with a hammer and dolly this is the tool for you.
You can use this tool to "roll" back your wheel arch lip to stop tyre rub and contact upon suspension movement. On some vehicles it is possible to "stretch" the wheel arch outwards to accomodate wider rims under the arches. (Panel fit / gap alignment may be distorted in some cases)
Rolling and Stretching can be done in some cases without "cracking" paint with very careful use of a hot air gun.
The tool itself is a heavy duty automotive tool that fits to the majority of 4 & 5 stud hubs, it is adjustable from approx 14" (355mm) up to approx 22 1/2" (570mm) from centre of hub to centre of roller. Covering the majority of road / race and some off road applications. (Longer arms can be manufactured upon request, at additional cost). Note the inner diameter of hub mounting ring is 72mm.
These Wheel Arch Tools are offered for sale with full instructions and warranty that covers any manufacturing defects, (subject to inappropriate use), a full complement of spares are available for heavy use customers e.g. garages / body shops etc.
See instructions below for an idea of "how to".

Wheel Arch Roller Instructions
Please note that by using this piece of equipment on your vehicle you / user are entirely responsible for safety & or any damage to vehicle caused by this tool from incorrect / excessive / incompetent use. These instructions are to be used as a guideline only, as all vehicles are slightly different if you are unsure of what you are doing please consult a qualified mechanic / bodywork specialist before use.
Set up
- Slacken wheel nuts / bolts.
- Chock wheels & jack up vehicle, ensure secure on axle stands.
- Release handbrake if working on rear arches.
- Remove required road wheel.
- Remove wheel arch liner, usually plastic (if fitted).
- Fit tool to hub using existing wheel nuts / bolts using countersunk washers supplied to seat nuts / bolts correctly, and tighten using wheel brace or socket. (Note that tool can be fitted to most 4 & 5 stud hubs & must be secure and square to hub).
- Spin tool up to arch, adjust length by slackening black knobs (B), adjust contact roller angle by slackening black clamp knob (A), adjust pressure of contact roller on arch or lip by turning “tee” lever (C).
- (Optional) Using hot air gun, warm arch area to be worked on gently.
Caution
(Note do not get too close with hot air gun to paintwork otherwise scorching / bubbling may take place, do not use excessive heat otherwise paint will become too soft and may be rubbed off arch by contact roller).
Arch Lip Working
- Using manual force, spin the tool on the hub around the arch.
- With each pass add slightly more angle to contact roller, and slightly more pressure to arch to achieve desired results.
- Warming of the arch may be required at intervals during the process; this may help prevent paint cracking.
- In some instances finishing of lip may be required by use of rubber mallet and wooden block.
Stretching of Arch
- Once lip has been folded up, it may be possible to stretch arch outwards to accommodate wider wheels and tyre combos.
- Continue as above, with each pass add slightly more pressure to contact roller at required angle to force arch outward from the vehicle until desired shape is gained.
- Again some finishing may be required by use of rubber mallet and wooden block.
Remove tool, refit arch liner if possible, refit wheel, handbrake back on, lower vehicle down off stands, and re-torque nuts / bolts.
Note; small incremental angular changes between contact roller – arch & gently increasing pressure with each pass will show better results than bigger steps – take it slow.
Stretching out of arches may also affect body panel alignment if excessive; keep a check during operation at regular intervals.
Use of a trolley jack under hub assembly may reduce some forces going through suspension joints during operation.
No guarantee is given against paint cracking.
No guarantee of results can be given; this is entirely dependant on skill of operator / user.
Arch liners may not refit after arch modifications.
Ensure that in instances of paint cracking that arches are “touched” up to prevent the onset of corrosion.
Check with wheel supplier correct size and offset that may be used on your car as this can affect cars handling / strain on joint’s, rubbing on other components etc.
